Behavioral Consultation and Relationship Based Training

Pawssibilities offers small group classes, private training sessions and behavioral consultation. We take a holistic approach to training which includes nutrition, training and lifestyle choices decided by you and your dog. We do not have a one size fits all style of training. Your dog is an individual and training will be geared toward his/her personality and preference. Our methods are humane and motivational. Combining science based training with an understanding of each dogs' like and dislikes we create a program that you and your dog will find fun, user friendly and very successful. In-Home Private Consultation @$125 per hour. Private Sessions at Crate & Marrow Training room @$100 per hour

Puppy 101

Monday February 16, 23 and March 2, 9 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Ages 8 weeks to 8 months. This class tends to fill quickly, be sure to secure your puppys' future for a happy and balanced adulthood. Puppies will learn human and dog social skills, sit, wait, look, leave it, go to mat, stay and come when called. Humans will learn how to speak dog! Basic Manners

Sunday Feb. 15, 22, March 1, 8 9:00 am - 10:00 am Ages 6 months and up Dogs will learn human and dog social skills, sit, wait, look, leave it, go to mat, stay and come when called. Puppy 201

Saturday Feb. 14, 21, 28 and March 7 9:00 am 10:00 am Classes are held at Crate & Marrow 750 Harris St. Suite 103 The real fun begins when they become teenagers! This follow up class helps to address the " I don't want to" mentality. We will focus on leash walking, longer stays with distractions, proper greeting, leave-it with items on the ground and of course up the ante' on the fun element, because Dogs Just Wanna Have Fun! The Nose Knows

Wednesday January 14, 21, 28, and Feb. 4 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm Beginner Nose Work. Great fun for humans and their dogs. Dogs will learn to identify certain scents, in this class it will be food. Once they have identified the scent they will learn how to use their nose to find the scents in different containers placed about the room. We will help the dog to learn a signal that tells the human they have found the scent. This class is so much fun and nosework is a skill that can be used in many ways and many places. Cost is $125.00 for the four week session and training treats are provided. One and Done: Talk Flirty To Me (Motivation Through Voice)

Tuesday October 20 6:00 pm -7:00 pm Class is $30.00 and includes training treats. Please call, email or stop in to register. Class is held at Crate & Marrow 2035 Bond St Charlottesville (Shops at Stonefield)

One and Done : Come As You Are (Recall Games )

Sunday November 9 10:00 am 11:00 am One and Done: Come As You Are Come when called is one of the hardest thing to teach a dog. This class will focus on fun games and techniques to get your to dog to want to come when called. Fast and fun just like the dogs like it. Class is $30.00 and includes training treats. Karen has lectured at other facilities, holds workshops and classes in and around Venice and Charlottesville. Karen believes that training is about so much more than teaching a dog to sit. She looks at everything that can impact behavior including: food, toxins, stress levels and overall quality of life.

She is very professional and has years of experience. Her dog training is focused, skill-based training essential for new puppies and owners alike. She is patient and very kind. We enjoyed the first classes so much that we enrolled in her Puppy 201 class. She offers both small classes and private home visits.
